At Houghton Lewis Group we have many years’ experience covering all aspects of building,
including new luxury houses, extensions and refurbishment. From garage conversions, house renovations, single and double storey extensions to new build projects, HLG has the experience to deliver.
Simon and Tim formed Houghton Lewis with the philosophy to create a building company that gave a superior experience to clients and a reputation to rival those who have been operating for a much longer duration.
The team pride themselves in the quality of their work, which is a result of the culture that they have built within the business.
This is replicated across all the staff and sub-contractors used to create a professional and respectful team.

Director
Having worked in the construction industry for over 10 years, in 2015 Tim and I created Houghton Lewis Group with one aim to establish a company that would deliver high build quality, efficiency and customer service on budget and on time. This principle we continually strive to and to ensure all our client's expectations are met. We have also launched a second business, TimberEscapes which offers bespoke garden rooms. It is a natural extension of our brand and offers the same level of customer service and quality our clients expect from HLG. This is made possible by the team that we have hand picked and the culture Tim and I have built within the business to deliver our client's projects.
TIM LEWIS
Director
Prior to creating Houghton Lewis Group in 2015 with Simon, I ran my own electrical company and joining with Simon felt a natural progression with both of us sharing the same philosophy of creating a company with a specific culture and ethos based on high quality work and excellent customer service. Since we started in 2015 we have built a team around us to deliver exceptional workmanship and ensure a high level of customer service. In addition to our core team, we have a carefully selected list of subcontractors and have built up numerous relationships with suppliers, builder merchants, architects and consultants and can help with all areas of the project.
MATT
General Builder/Bricklayer
I joined HLG in 2020 and have joined a fantastic team that prides itself on customer service and high quality building works. I have 15 years of experience in the building industry with 8 years of specialised bricklaying experience but I am always looking to learn new skills on the job and this is made possible within HLG. During my spare time I spend it with my daughters and partner and sometimes can be found on a bank fishing!
EDDY
Builder/Carpenter
I joined the team in 2016 and during the past few years I have been given the opportunity to develop an expertise in timber frames and carpentry with a view to overseeing individual sites in the near future. I enjoy working for Simon and Tim and look forward to the continued growth. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and friends.

General Trainee Builder
I joined HLG in 2017. I have found my interest sits in carpentry and this is an area that I continue to work on. My enthusiasm for the building trade has meant that I have become a good all round labourer.
